Hyundai T10 - 10.1 "tablet on Exynos 4412 with 3G and GPS
The Chinese company Hyundai has released its new tablet model with the marking T10. Last fall, we had already heard about low-cost tablets from Hyundai Digital - Hyundai Rock X and Hyundai Hold X, which are equipped with seven and eight inch screens, respectively. Also at the beginning of 2013, we introduced you to the seven-inch Hyundai T7 , which has a design like a mobile phone. And now the Hyundai T10 tablet fell into our hands.

It is easy to guess that the Hyundai T10 received a screen with a diagonal of 10 inches - this is clear from the marking. Other features of the tablet also offer good opportunities for work or entertainment. This model supports many formats of video and music for fans to watch different films, as well as almost all document formats for electronic books, which allows you to use the tablet as a reader. What is this device in general? I propose to get to know each other in our article today.
Hyundai T10 is based on a quad-core Samsung Exynos 4412 processor with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz and a Mali 400 graphics accelerator. The ten-inch display with a resolution of 1280x800 has an IPS matrix, the amount of RAM is 2 GB, and the internal memory is 16 GB. In addition, the Hyundai T10 has wireless modules: Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and 3G. The tablet itself is running Android 4.0.4 ICS.
Screen: 10.1 ", 1280x800 px, IPS, 178 °
Processor: Samsung Exynos 4412 (Cortex-A9, 1.6 GHz, 4 cores)
Video accelerator: Mali 400 MP4
Operating system: Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
RAM: 2 GB DDR3
user memory:16 GB + microSD slot with support for cards up to 32 GB
Camera: front 0.3 MP, rear - 5 MP
Optional: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, OTG, GPS
Communication: 1 SIM card (GSM + WCDMA)
Battery: 6500 mAh
Dimensions: 263 x 183 x 10.1 mm
Weight: 648 gram
The tablet comes in a large white box made of hard cardboard. In the corners are located: name and marking of the tablet, sticker, processor model. There is no useful information on the back. Only various icons, manufacturer information and marking of the tablet version. The box has a 2-level system: the tablet itself is usually located on top, and accessories below. The set of accessories is quite large: a power supply, an adapter for the euro plug, instructions, warranty coupons, sticker, microUSB cable, OTG cable and headphones. I liked that each accessory is packed in a separate bag. I liked the package and box. It’s good when the power supply gets in the box rather than going separately. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers use such a successful solution.

Externally, the Hyundai T10 is a bit similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. But only in all dimensions the Chinese tablet is slightly larger. The front side is made of plastic. The front camera is located above the screen, and the charge indicator is to the right of it. The back and ends are made of metal. At the top is a small metal cutout in which the camera’s peephole is located. By the way, the design of the tablet was developed in Korea, and it was made in China. On the left side there is a volume rocker and a power button. The button and the rocker have a soft press and an average stroke, there are no problems with them. A pair of speakers immediately stand out, which are located on the back of the tablet, closer to the left end.

The right end contains all the necessary connectors for working with the tablet. Namely: miniHDMI, USB, DC-IN, a microphone and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The SIM card slots (standard Mini-SIM format) and the memory card are hidden under the latch. On the bottom of the tablet is a port for connecting a keyboard. And two holes for a stable connection. Hyundai T10 is quite a pleasant feeling. The tablet fits perfectly in the hand, it does not weigh very much, given its 10-inch screen. The device is securely assembled: it does not creak or hang. In addition, the appearance of the model leaves a good impression. Thickness and weight are not minimal, but quite reasonable.

The tablet uses a 10.1-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The sensor supports five-finger multi-touch. When setting the maximum brightness, the display remains readable in the sun. Viewing angles tend to 180 degrees. Color reproduction is good, the picture is quite juicy and contrasting. Traditionally, the IPS display fails and is great for a tablet. It might be better to install a screen with a higher resolution, but because of this, the device’s performance would decrease, but I don’t really want to. Although the current resolution is quite comfortable working with the tablet.

The tablet has two cameras - the rear 5 MP without autofocus and flash and the front 0.3 MP.
The cameras are designed primarily for video calls, support work with Skype, but the picture quality is poor.
5 MP camera shot.

Shot from a 2 MP camera.

The cameras are the most ordinary and budget. However, for undemanding video communications, where the main thing is for you to be recognized, they are enough.
The model comes preloaded with Android 4.0.4 and several widget wallpapers. Added a third-party player (apparently to increase the number of readable formats) and a voice recorder. All Google applications work without problems. Compatibility with applications in the Play Store is quite high, but the processor and video accelerator are notorious. I want to draw attention to the fact that the tablet can call and send SMS. The tablet operates at a frequency of 1.6 GHz, as stated in the specifications. Of 2 GB of RAM, only 1.6 GB is available to us. And user memory is enough, as much as 13 GB and 1 GB per application.

After testing the Hyundai T10 tablet, I can safely say that the device works quickly, especially the interface. There are no brakes, everything works smoothly, exactly as all users want it. And you can see, to achieve this result, you need very little: a quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM, then everything will be great.
A quad-core processor, two gigabytes of RAM - until recently, desktop PCs could envy such a set. The tablet copes with any tasks, does not freeze, and in benchmarks shows high results for its filling. Hyundai T10 showed very good results in AnTuTu Benchmark - 17184. The device easily overtook Asus Transformer Prime and Google Nexus 7. 3DMark score was 2855 points. Judging by the test results, the tablet is quite fast. There are also no problems in games. The most modern toy to date - Gangstar Vegas works flawlessly. Not a hard game Crazy Taxi also goes well. In fact, as I said, the Hyundai T10 works really fast and does not experience any performance problems.

The tablet has excellent Wi-Fi reception. Near the router, the signal is stable, if it is in another room, the device will also not disconnect. Bluetooth works without problems. The external keyboard connected normally and worked. The data transfer speed in 3G networks averaged 200–300 KB / s for reception - not bad. Loss of network connectivity for the Hyundai T10 was not noticed. With 3G, you can roam the pages on the Internet or communicate on social networks, the benefit of speed and performance allows.

To be honest, with GPS, in the model that fell into my hands, everything is bad. Satellites are caught for a very long time. Usually, with GPS running, a flashing indicator appears at the bottom right, near the clock. But here, for it to blink, you must first go to the status bar, tap on the screen, and only after that will the satellites be searched. Here is such a small dance with a tambourine. You can sometimes click on the menus - the indicator also starts flashing.
Picking around with gps.conf helps a lot; for someone, everything is perfectly caught. I managed to catch 2 satellites on the street.
The tablet has a lithium-ion non-removable battery with a capacity of 6500 mAh. It takes about 4 and a half hours to fully charge the battery.
When playing a video file using MX Player, with the screen brightness set to maximum, and with full sound volume through the speakers, the tablet worked for more than 8 hours! And in reading mode at a brightness of 10% for more than 11 hours. I think this is a good result.
At the time of publication of this review, the Hyundai T10 is in my opinion one of the most powerful Chinese tablets. He copes with absolutely any everyday tasks. There are cons and they relate primarily to poorly functioning GPS and a small number of updates for the tablet. But in general, a fairly decent model was obtained, which could well compete with other models on the market. And, by the way, the second revision of the tablet has already appeared. As far as I saw, judging by the reviews, they corrected the GPS module, removed the keyboard entry, moved the speakers, changed the back surface.
Good stuffing.
Availability of 3G and GPS.
Fast and smooth interface.
Excellent Wi-Fi and 3G.
Ability to make calls and send SMS.
High-quality assembly.
Connectivity of the keyboard.
Sensible heating while charging and operation of the device.
GPS module catches satellites for a long time
Squeak in the speakers when working with SIM-card
Not fresh Android and a small number of firmware
You can buy the device for $ 289.98 in the BuySKU store .
