Wireless Charging WCP-400

The Qi equipment includes a transmitter plate and a compatible receiver in the connected device. In use, the plug-in device is placed on the transmitter plate. Charging takes place via induction energy transfer, such as in transformers. By the way, in several cafes in Moscow, as part of the experiment, wireless charges appeared.
In the assortment of the Google Play online store, a wireless charger has appeared recently. Yes, and it is sold only to residents of foreign countries. I ordered myself such a gadget and I want to share my impressions about it.
At the moment, the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger WCP-400 can be bought for $ 59.99. Plus $ 5.99 for shipping to a US address. Well, another 25 dollars for delivery to Russia. In general, the device will cost about 3,000 rubles.

Technical specifications from the official page:

- Color: black
- Weight: 130g

The entire kit is packaged in a colorfully designed and self-bearing sticker from LG.

On the back of the box are various certification badges and a brief description in 6 languages. Surprised that there is in Russian. Although the device is not officially sold in Russia yet.

Unfortunately, all instructions are in English. But there are no particularly important points there. Primitive training on how to use charging properly.

The kit comes with a power supply. The truth is not for our outlets.

You have to use it this way:

And a regular MicroUSB cable. The same as in the kit with the Nexus 4 smartphone.

The main part of the device is made of black matte plastic.

With the exception of the rim around the charging surface, which is glossy. Yes, charging collects dust. And it’s not so easy to remove it. Wipe with a wet cloth. But after a couple of minutes of use, a new layer of dust immediately appears. Apparently you need to come to terms with this.

At the back is information about the model.

The device looks like an orange cut in half.

On the back is a MicroUSB connector. Standardization is good - you can use any power supply without looking for a suitable connector in case of anything. And you only need to carry one wire with you - if you want, you directly charge the phone with it, if you want, you connect wireless charging to it.

Of course, charging is not entirely without wires ... The

WCP-400 has a convenient tilt angle. Because of this, his position becomes comfortable for working with the device during recharging.

Charging starts when the phone approaches a distance of 2-3 cm from the charging surface. The charging area is large enough.

Therefore, you can slightly move the device up or down. It is not difficult to remove the device. I can do it with one hand.

Many people think that a smartphone is held back by the power of the magnets built into the charger. But this is a small misconception. In fact, this surface material does not allow the gadget to slip. You can try to press the screen with your finger and try to pull the smartphone off the surface, but it will still hold steady.

The smartphone charges in 3 hours 45 minutes. This is longer than a standard charge. But the process itself, its convenience, are important to us. And a smartphone just attached to this device looks much better.

Sometimes my smartphone just moved down. This began to happen after I removed the back film. After it seems to have stopped. In the case, by the way, it also charges very well. It holds even better, but it all depends on the material of the case.

Charging looks good, pleases the eye and goes well with the Nexus 4. If you want to purchase a wireless charger, then this is exactly what you need. But are you ready to give almost $ 90 for all this? It’s worth considering this question ...
