Overview of iOS and Android-driven Philips Hue bulbs

When Edison had not yet popularized an incandescent lamp with E27 cap, people slept 10 hours a day (although some characters, and even from Habra, manage to sleep for 12 hours). This is a proven fact and it is surprising that more than 110 years have passed since that moment. But even more surprising is that for some 100 years, mankind has learned to call, write SMS and watch a movie with some strange square garbage that fits in your hand.
Nevertheless, Philips said it was a turning point in the history of incandescent bulbs with their new Hue ...
We did a short review of this miracle device, which in the USA will cost the buyer $ 199 and the European one at 199 euros (Russia is not worth talking about).
The kit includes 3 Hue bulbs, as well as a Philips router transmitter. The system is very simple and at the same time not always convenient: in order for this kit to work, you need to connect the transmitter to a Wi-Fi router using Ethernet, enable the Hue program on your iOS device (or Android), hold down the button on the transmitter and , voila, the lamps are on.
This is inconvenient in that you need your own home Wi-Fi, as the light bulb transmitter works in the same grid with your phone or tablet. True, there is another way. The bulbs can be controlled remotely through the Philips cloud, so a direct network connection and a web browser will save you here.
The light of the lamps can be changed as often as you like and as much as you like. Variations (according to Philips) million. LEDs are installed inside each light bulb, and such a thing consumes 8.5W of energy, producing a power of 600 lumens (like a regular 100W light bulb).
Hue has been working for about 15,000 hours (about 10 years), so we can safely assume that it will last a long time.
Conclusion: I would compare the Philips Hue with the Lytro camera. Now it is expensive and not suitable for everyone, but it is definitely a technological or at least an ideological leap, and I can confidently say that in the near future such lamps will be much cheaper.
PSFriends, your best thanks for the post are the benefits of karma. Over the last topic with an overview of the iPad 4 128 GB, I got a lot of minuses, and, apparently, all because of brand advertising, which is present at the end of our videos. But you must understand that any project requires funding and Rozetked was created in order to do the most high-quality and interesting video reviews in the CIS. Moreover, many loved our reviews. Therefore, before throwing minuses into the topic’s author, think about your decision again - after all, we only post on our blog , for which we paid a lot of money ...
