Gaming technology - to life

Chris Taylor, known to the world of the total Annihilation and Supreme Commander gamblers, revealed to the world his new development, so far bearing the working name Project Mercury. The gaming technology that formed the basis is strategic zoom. For the first time, such technology was, if I am not mistaken, used in the game MAX 2, released in 1998. Chris squeezed everything possible out of her and, thanks to him, now the “classic” RTS games evoke a feeling of claustrophobia, locked up in the “small screen”.
And now Chris suggests using this technology on the “desktop”, calling it Infinite Desktop. About the project is best told by its author:

As you can see from the video, this project goes as a base for modding tools for the next game of Chris and his studio Gas Powered Games. The game is called Wildman, is an ARPG, with elements of RTS. In addition to this, progress in the game will be accompanied by progress in time and development in technologies like “Civilization”. In the next video, Chris describes the concept of the game, his vision of how he is going to combine ARPG and RTS.

In numerous interviews that can be easily found on the Internet, for example, an interview in the Matt chat program, Chris tells how difficult his studio was in the fight with publishers for contracts, about the canceled Kings and Castles, and other burdens of his life.
If the platform or the game is of interest, then anyone can join the Wildman crowdfunding project on kickstarter. At the moment, the project has collected a little less than 400k with a stated goal of 1.1 million dollars. Well, tell friends and acquaintances.
