CES Summary: New Samsung Monitors at the International Consumer Electronics Show
Good evening, Habr!
As part of the summing up of the international consumer electronics exhibition CES 2013, which was held on January 8-11 in Las Vegas, USA, today we will talk about new monitors that were presented at the Samsung booth.

For the first time in the history of Visual Display Business, the company has expanded its line of monitors with new premium touch-screen models.

The 7-inch SC770 7-inch touchscreen monitor is optimized for Windows 8 and supports 10-finger capacitive multi-touch, which allows you to drag, rewind, select, scale, rotate and perform the entire set of touch manipulations.

The screen has a widescreen Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and is equipped with MVA technology, which, in addition to a short response time (5 ms), gives high image contrast (5000: 1) and wide viewing angles (178 degrees). The monitor is also equipped with an HDMI connector. The monitor stand provides a tilt of the screen up to 60 degrees.

The main feature of the 27-inch SC750 monitor of the 7th series is the ability to rotate the screen 90 degrees, which allows you to comfortably work in vertical (portrait) mode.

The screen has the same high resolution of 1080p and carries a WVA LCD matrix with LED backlight, which gives no less wide viewing angles (178 degrees) and a static contrast ratio of 5000: 1. An HDMI connector is also available. Ergonomic cylindrical stand made of metal.

The 9-Series SB970 27-inch monitor uses a PLS matrix and WQHD screen resolution, which provides four times more detail than traditional HD resolution. In addition, the built-in color calibration feature allows users to adjust display uniformity, gamma, and white balance. This process is carried out using the proprietary Samsung Natural Color Expert technology, thanks to which you can get colors as close to reality as possible on the monitor screen.

A pleasant moment is the fact that each individual monitor of this model, before being sent to you, will go through the process of manually adjusting the image by Samsung specialists. The minimalistic design of the SB970 has already earned the highest awards in the design industry, including the IDEA Bronze Award 2012 and the Japanese Good Design Award.
New monitors of the 7th and 9th series will be available in Russia in the first quarter of 2013. Recommended prices will be announced later.
