60,000 Android devices per day

It's no secret that Android has been gaining momentum in recent years and is becoming the fastest growing market among smartphones and phones in general. The versatility of the platform, as well as the variety of hardware component plays far from the last role in the popularity of this OS.

Eric Schmidt said at MWC 2010 that every day more than 60,000 Android devices are sold worldwide, and this is about twice as much compared to the last quarter.

If this trend continues, by the end of this year about 22 million Android devices will be sold . However, it is worth considering that there are many more companies that have yet to release their devices, so the number of devices sold will continue to grow throughout the year.
