As far as I understand this is done like this

They are registered on the most popular private (we even had this with Demonoid) and public torrent trackers and their bots enter into the exchange of the most popular and interesting files by the copyright holder. As a result of the exchange, they have logs with the IP addresses of distributing and downloading exchange participants. Further, the above letters of happiness are sent to their providers.

How to avoid getting into such logs?

So, I had an idea about how to deal with such bots. There is a suspicion that all of them (or the overwhelming majority) are located in the United States (maybe a few more cap countries). Fortunately or unfortunately, it is hard for them to outsource such activities to India, because of all the same laws within the country. Accordingly, if you exclude from the exchange the IP addresses of the USA + your country, then the chances of not getting caught increase. And if, for example, you leave only the Russians, then they will come to naught.

Now the question is how easy is this to do?

Obviously, blocking all traffic at the firewall level to / from a particular country is inconvenient. It is necessary to find (I could not find ready for Windows) proxy. Through which to release the torrent client. That he would allow you to send requests and receive answers only to and from the IP addresses of certain countries. It is advisable to prevent the use of anonymous well-known proxies in a permitted country in order to receive content from a prohibited country. TE block access to resources (all ports) of certain countries.
