Asus PadFone 2 is the second generation of a hybrid device that combines all the positive qualities of a smartphone and tablet. By installing the smartphone in a special dock, we get a tablet with all the relevant functionality. We already did a review on the first generation PadFone , and now let's talk about what the new PadFone 2 offers us.

From the previous generation, PadFone 2 has several key features. Firstly, the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display has been replaced with a Super IPS + 4.7-inch display (resolution also increased to 1280x720). Secondly, the device has acquired a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and twice the amount of RAM (2 GB). Thirdly, it was radically redesigned the mechanism for installing the smartphone in the PadFone Station tablet dock. And finally, fourthly, the device received a new 13-pin connector for synchronization with a PC, charging or other functions.

In the second generation, PadFone lost the ability to connect a special keyboard dock that turned the device into a netbook. Also, the stylus headset disappeared from the kit. The Android OS version has remained the same - this is 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
