Matt Kuts: Do not keep your domain in the parking lot before opening the site

Recently, Matt Cutts, Google’s leading anti-spam specialist, published a video in which he answers one of the common questions: is it worth keeping a domain in the parking lot before launching the site on it?

Kats gives a negative answer. He explains this with the fact that Google has a filter that excludes parked domains from the search engine index. At the same time, the filter cannot immediately respond to changes when the domain page in the parking lot turns into a “live” site.

Therefore, Kats recommends disabling the domain parking service 3-4 weeks before the site opens.
