The whole smartphone in Entertainment Weekly magazine

I remember that one of the issues of Vogue magazine came out with a glued device from which the craftsmen did anything from a digital display to the player’s TV . One of the print media, Entertainment Weekly, decided to go even further and pasted a working 3G smartphone into the latest release. The reader only sees the display, which, logically, shows ads. All this was done to advertise the CW network, and the display shows two short recordings of different shows, and after that - tweets from the official CW account.

It turned out that this is not just a display, but part of a complex device, a 3G Android smartphone. A smartphone was made in China, which is also not surprising. Now, and so almost everything is being released in this country, in addition, the magazine would not have included a very expensive smartphone in the kit.

As for the device itself, the kit includes a battery, a QWERTY keyboard, a T-Mobile 3G card, a camera, a speaker, a USB port. The device was created at the Foxconn factory, which we have all heard about. Of course, there is no case for a smartphone, since in that case it would not have been possible to paste. It turned out that the "filling" is taken from this smartphone.

About 1,000 copies of Entertainment Weekly magazine with a smartphone have been released so far. So, if you live in one of the countries where this magazine is sold. It seems that with this smartphone, craftsmen will be able to do much more interesting than in the case of a simple device from Vogue.

By the way, there is a video of this device taken out of the magazine. The video can be found at the link below, Habr does not allow you to insert the code for this video, unfortunately.
