For the upcoming 2013 year, the German publishing house Hermann Schmidt Mainz again prepared the "daily dose of typography" by publishing the tear-off calendar "Typodarium 2013".
For the fifth year in a row, Lars Harmsen and Raban Ruddichkaite, world-famous typography designers, present their new, bold and unusual fonts to the creative public in the Typodarium project.
On the front side of the page corresponding to a separate day, there are decoratively executed date and day of the week, holidays are also especially marked on the calendar. The back of the pages contains additional information about each of the fonts, for example, the history of its creation, on the basis of which a specific font was created, “what the authors smoked” etc.
Calendars are placed in special silver packaging, which at the same time serves as a kind of collection repository: subsequently tear-off sheets that have lost their functional side can be stored in it so that the original fonts that are opened daily are not lost.
The format of the novelty is 8.5 x 12 cm, the circulation is more than 10 thousand copies, the price on amazon.de is 16.80 euros.
