Lenovo IdeaPad S2109 on Android 4.0.

    On Wednesday, the company launched a new tablet. S2109 is positioned as one of the lightest on the market with a 9.7-inch screen - 576 grams at a thickness of 0.83 cm.

    This is the first tablet that Lenovo ships in the US with Android 4.0 on board.

    The device will cost from $ 349. The tablet will be able to play high-definition video (720p, you can also use HDMI and output to TV 1080p).

    What's under the hood

    - Dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 1GHz.
    - 1 gigabyte of RAM.
    - Up to 32 gigabytes of internal memory (+ can be expanded using Micro-SD cards).
    - 1.3 megapixel camera.

    The obvious competitors are the Asus Transformer Pad 300 (TF300) (4 cores, $ 380) and the iPad.

    Sales begin in the US, nothing is known about the availability of the tablet for purchase in other countries.
