Apple sues Samsung to rip iPhone and iPad

According to The Wall Street Journal, Engadget writes that Apple sued Samsung Electronics for copying the “ look and feel ” of the iPad tablet and iPhone.
The charge relates to the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, which has more than a slight resemblance to the iPhone 3G / 3GS models, and to the slightly less obvious devices Epic 4G, Nexus S and Galaxy Tab.
The claim for violation of intellectual property is formulated as follows:
Instead of innovating, developing its own technology and a unique style for its smartphones and tablets, Samsung decided to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in its products.
The lawsuit was filed in the Northern District of California on Friday.
Engadget notes that one should not forget that in such legal battles it rarely comes down to the actual decision being made, and that most likely it will end with reluctant handshakes and licensing in exchange for money.
However, it is still interesting to observe the quarrel between the partners. After all, as you know, Samsung is a supplier of parts for a number of Apple products.
