Industrial lamp Breeze 50

I continue to test various LED lamps in order to understand how the actual parameters for different types of lamps correspond to the stated ones.

Today I study the Russian protected industrial lamp SSDP 02-050-001 IP65 "Breeze 50".

According to the seller’s website, the luminaire consumes 50 W, gives 5600 lm, has a color temperature of 5000K and a CRI color rendition index of at least 80. The IP65 protection and operating temperature range from -40 to + 50 ° С allow it to be used both indoors and in the street.

The lamp has a size of 310x112x64 mm and a weight of 2.26 kg. Its body is made of aluminum, and the protective "glass" of polycarbonate. The light source is 135 LEDs. In the aluminum profile of the case there are grooves with which a removable bracket is attached.

The lamp is made in Nizhny Novgorod by "Svet NN".

I measured the basic parameters of the lamp. Luminous flux, color temperature and color rendering index were measured using a two-meter integrating sphere and a Instrument Systems CAS 140 CT spectrometer , power consumption with a GW Instek GPM-8212 instrument, pulsation with a Uprtek MK350D instrument. The minimum operating voltage was measured using a Lamptest-1 instrument and a LATP Suntek TDGC2-0.5. Before measurements to stabilize the parameters, the lamp warmed up for half an hour.

The luminous flux of the lamp was 5501 lm, power 50.8 W, color temperature 5533K, color rendering index CRI 85.5, ripple factor 0.3%, power factor (PF) 0.98.

The luminous flux differs from the declared one in the lower side by less than 2%, and the power consumption is less than 2% more than the declared power - this is within the normal range. The pulsation of light is practically absent, a high color rendering index provides high-quality lighting, and a high power factor allows the use of lamps for industrial facilities.

With a room temperature of 28 ° C per hour of operation, the luminaire body warmed to 47 ° C.

The manufacturer indicates the operating voltage range of 220V ± 10%. I checked how the lamp works at lower voltages. In the range of 137-242V the lamp worked without any changes in brightness. This means that it can work even with significant “drawdowns” of the supply voltage.

The retail price of the luminaire on the website of the official representative of the plant in the Moscow region - the company "Top-Light" - is 3219 rubles. The manufacturer gives the lamp a warranty of 5 years.

I tested the 50-watt model “Breeze 50”, but the same manufacturer has an assortment of “Breeze” lamps at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 W with light fluxes of 2240, 3360, 4480 , 5600, 6720, 7840, 8960, 10080, 11200 lm respectively, as well as flagship lamps with power up to 240 W and luminous flux up to 26880 lm. I hope they also correspond to the declared parameters.

The tested lamp turned out to be of high quality, its parameters are as stated, and the aluminum case, working as a radiator, gives us hope that the lamp will work for a long time.
