Mixlr - service for music broadcasts

It so happened that I wanted to arrange a small concert for my distant friends, pals and just interested people. Since most of them live beyond two, four or more time zones from me, I started thinking about audio broadcasting, since everything is easy to implement from the point of view of iron (Alpha Alpha, my dear ...) But here's the problem - my 44kb recoil is clearly not pulled to the audio server. Of course there is Skype, but there are limits on the number of conference participants - this is the time, and not everyone has it - these are two. And you need to add users ... Horror, in short. And he only accepts the left channel - this creates additional torment.
But after some time, I found Him, My Dream Service, Hefty such a Mixlr ! Mixlr! I’ll tell about him under the cut. And a little about how I process the sound before sending.
So, please, to the table under the cut! (But be careful! Traffic!)

The feminists are unlikely to like the home screen, but it allows you to quickly select the category of broadcasts or radio, go there and listen to whatever your heart desires. In addition, users can click the Broadcast now button to go to the broadcast start window, where ...

... where we see two kind options. Connect a soundcloud account and download some music and these soft French buns or download a small program for your PC. Performance under Wine has not been tested, alas. Anyone want to do this?
In addition, the user’s menu and its broadcasts are visible on the left. Each of these buttons has its own function.
In addition to the avatar, name and sharing buttons, there is a button that will show us how many users are listening to the broadcast, along with their avatars, if any. Users can be guests or log in via twitter / facebook. If you go through the stripes icon, we will see chat / comments. Stage View shows an equalizer. And the last button shows the station / artist profile.

Speaking of connectivity. In addition to Soundcloud, you can connect twitter / facebook accounts to automatically send messages about the broadcast that has begun and mixcloud, audioboo and dropbox. Why the first two are needed, alas, I don’t know, but the connected dropbox allows you to export your broadcasts to it. Yes, they are being recorded. It seems that there are no limits. One way or another, you can connect the dropbox and drop everything there without straining the Mixlr server.
In addition, you can get the player code for your broadcast for a website or blog, Wordpress or Facebook.

In case you decide to make a mini-radio, you can schedule the start time of the broadcast. It will end, obviously, when the tracks run out. But if you decide to broadcast live, then it's time to move on to the desktop application.

Firstly, it is very nice minimized to tray.
Secondly, it offers us to set up a broadcast or to schedule one if we have audio tracks on an overseas service.
Thirdly, it invites us to improve our account. For 6 euros a month ($ 5), we get the opportunity to upload recordings of our broadcasts and Pro quality. Obviously Pro is a fucking bloody lossless, because even with the usual sound quality I am more than satisfied.
And finally, we can disable the publication of posts in the social. network.

Well, everything is simple. We select an audio device (in my case - virtual, more freedom for perversions), drive in the name, select the category of III… ON AIR!

That's it, people can hear everything we say / sing / play.
Now a little about how everything is arranged on my part.
Virtual Audio Cable + VstHost + KI StereoTools + iZotope Nectar + Amplitube 2 (because the third did not want to work with vsthost). Very little))

“What kind of distortions with Stereo Tools ??” - the attentive reader will ask. And I will answer: Alpha Lexiconovna has two inputs. Hussars - keep quiet! One for the microphone, the second for the instrument. Suddenly, the microphone goes to the right channel. Fail when used with skype. Fortunately, it’s easy to do with VstHost and StereoTools in mono mode. But this is if we do not want plugins. And if we want decorations for the guitar and voice? The solution is in the screenshot.

    Epilogue

Mixlr is a wonderful service, whose analogues, alas, are unknown to me. Tell us in the comments if you know about such. There are a lot of services for video broadcasts, but for audio ... So, if you need to broadcast or want a little radio - welcome to our friendly company ~

PS Yes, I love the classic design of Windows.
PPS If you are suddenly interested, here is my channel. This Saturday I will delight everyone who came with an acoustic performance from the Russian / English / Serbian-language songs of my own and not so much composition. Bring tea and cookies, it will be great. Here you have the seals from Lozhkin = ^. ^ =
