Greetings ladies and gentlemen!
All month, the music player VKontakte "Meridian" grew and actively developed. Good results have been achieved, which we now want to share with you.
The first thing I would like to mention is our listeners, who already number more than 12.5 thousand. More than 1.5 thousand use the player daily. Thank you very much. We hope you really enjoy it. I would also like to thank the Habrasociety for useful comments. Your reviews helped to add many features to the application and fix various bugs.
Let's move on to some innovations.
A new Graphite background has been added . Soft and very nice. Now it’s nice not only to listen to music, but also to look at photos of your favorite artists.
The player now uses native shadows . No more torment with substrates and more. This made it very easy to add support for Aero Snap, beautiful folding to the taskbar and much more.
The speed of the application has greatly increased . The owners of netbooks and old computers is dedicated.
Redone compact mode . Now, there’s the background of the artist’s photo, added a volume control and a track list.
The ability to assign hotkeys has been added . If you don’t have multimedia keys on your keyboard, this option will become very useful. Supported switching songs, stop and minimize / expand the application.
Now you can listen to music from the news and from the wall of groups. It is very convenient when you are in a group where users constantly share good music.
A sidebar has been added . It displays information about the current artist, as well as genres and similar artists. If there is no need, you can disable it in the settings.
A pop-up window appeared when switching tracks . Information about the song and artist, all this against a pretty background. Nice and comfortable.
Some actions have been added.. Now you can put the current song in the status of VKontakte, simply by clicking on the mouthpiece icon. Previously, this function was hidden in the settings, so not everyone knew about it. Unfortunately, the API does not yet support new audio statuses. As they appear, we’ll do it right away. Gift icon - send a song to your wall, leaf icon - the ability to see the lyrics.
Now you can edit information about your audio recordings and albums . Create albums, add and delete songs, edit song information.
The interface is slightly redesigned . Now it is cleaner, easier and more understandable. Some points are logically combined. Added icons for various actions.
All this + various minor corrections. Here is what has been done in the last month. Active work continues on adding the necessary functionality + improving the current, as well as logic and user interaction.
