Manifesto "Kakbe-Agile" Software Development

We usually learn about new software development practices by paying consultants and reading Gartner reports. Thanks to them, we were able to find out what should be important for us:

People and teamwork

more important than processes and tools

and we have mandatory processes and tools to control how these very people (we prefer the term “resources”) interact.

Working product

more important than comprehensive documentation,

as long as this software product is exhaustively documented.

Customer Collaboration

more important than negotiating contract terms,

while it, of course, is within the framework of a rigid contract and is subject to strict control over changes.

Readiness for change

more important than following the original plan,

when provided with a detailed plan that describes how to respond to changes and which is followed exactly.

Thus, although the values on the left are good in theory, we, as a large company, cannot just abandon our values on the right.

PS: the translation is made as close as possible to the Russian translation of the original manifest .
PPS: the first line of each statement is meant as “left”, the second - “right”.
