Is alcohol in the office a myth or a reality?

    We all know that because of our mentality, drinking alcohol in the office seems to our superiors as something out of the ordinary. Moreover, this view is shared by local authorities as well as foreign authorities if the company is international. Therefore, it was always interesting how people look at this business abroad, and recently I had such a chance.

    The phenomenon of Danish Katzapism *

    One of my comrades, who had a certain amount of knowledge and experience, decided to leave their homeland and went to conquer Europe, and more specifically Denmark. And a month later, talking about how he settled down and how the new team was for him, he talked about what surprised him during that time. And one of the points in his story was the attitude of his superiors to alcohol and its use in the office after work.

    It turns out that in Denmark, most IT offices do not just prohibit the use of it after work, but in every way contribute to this. According to managers and HR managers, a couple of bottles of beer after work contributes to team building, strengthens relationships and team spirit between employees. One of the companies in Denmark even introduced a consumption policy that states “There must always be good beer in the fridge”, and this is the best beer they brew themselves - the CEO of this company acquired a small factory for this occasion.
