Google will build three more data centers in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong

Representatives of the corporation Google announced that soon will be created three new data centers in the Asian region. More precisely, one data center will be built in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The total cost of all three "new buildings" will be $ 200 million. All this is done in order to improve the speed of access of users in the region to the services of the company, as well as to provide more secure work for these users.
Plans are already beginning to be implemented, and the corporation bought three land plots in each of these countries. 2.45 hectares of land were bought in Singapore, and 15 hectares in Taiwan. In Hong Kong, Google acquired 2.7 hectares of land. In principle, there is ample space for the creation of large data centers. I wonder why as many as 15 hectares in Taiwan - maybe here they will also make a resort area for corporation employees?
As far as we know, these are the first data centers in the Asian region, entirely owned by Google. The company now has 6 own data centers in the United States, as well as one data center in Finland and Belgium (referring to data centers owned by Google).
Most likely, data centers will begin work one and a half to two years after the construction process begins. Corporations are in great need of their own data centers in Asia, since the number of Internet users in this region is constantly growing, and very quickly. And now, Google representatives recognize that more and more visitors are coming from the Asian region.
Of course, there are problems - for example, a conflict with the Chinese authorities, which has already been written on Habré more than once. But still, the Asian region is another “tasty” piece of cake for IT companies, including Google.
