250 kids in kindergarten received iPad's for learning



    A kindergarten in the American town of Auburn (Maine) became the first educational institution in the world where every child received iPad 2 for personal use in a special protective building. The project cost the school department $ 240 thousand.

    According to educators, with the help of tablets, each baby receives individual attention and care. In kindergarten groups, usually 15-20 people, so one teacher is not able to play with each child the way the iPad can. The first days showed that the children really like the new “textbooks”.

    Now about 40% of six-year-olds in the Auburn kindergarten do not know how to read well. With the help of iPads, educators hope to improve performance.









    It should be added that ten years ago the state of Maine launched a program to distribute laptops to schoolchildren starting from the 7th grade .
