New Wi-Fi standard

The company CSR is developing a new standard, Wi-Fi, today introduced a new standard for wireless data transfer Wi-Fi 802.11ai.
The main feature of the new generation is technology, which significantly reduces the time to connect to wireless networks. The expected connection time is about 1 second (that is, almost 10 times faster). The new version of the technology will also be optimized in terms of energy consumption.
According to IMS Research, the market for mobile devices with a built-in Wi-Fi module is projected to grow to over 1.3 billion units by 2016.
The standard will be able to work in conjunction with 802.11b, g and n.
The development will be demonstrated at the IEEE 802 Wireless Interim Meeting in September 2011.
