IFA 2011 Day 3: Acer Aspire 3951
The success of the new MacBook Air haunts no one, and now all manufacturers have devoted their energies to creating their own counterparts. The Acer Aspire S3, also known as the Aspire 3951, is just that. The outlines of the case are recognizable, we also heard somewhere about the "aluminum" and "unibad" nature. However, even despite this, Acer's product turned out to be interesting and worthy of close attention. Not everyone can bite apples, after all.

The case of the Acer Aspire S3 is made of the now fashionable solid piece of aluminum. A couple of new models, and solid pieces of aluminum will be listed in the Red Book.

The durability of the case is felt immediately, it is very pleasant to the touch.

The opening angle of the lid is very large, and the hinges are moderately tight, but somewhere around 150 degrees the lid no longer holds, but slowly, under its own weight, drops down. This is the only moment that guarded the laptop, but for mass production it will probably be fixed.

With ports sparse: only two USB 2.0 and one HDMI - all on the rear panel. There is also a headphone jack and card reader.

In the thinnest place, the thickness of the case is 13.1 mm, in the thickest - 17.5 mm. Laptop weighs 1.3 kg.

The battery, as you see, is non-removable. No data on battery life yet. Although both speakers are located on the bottom panel, the sound in them is promised by Dolby Home Theater.
