Does Microsoft create its own social search engine?

The other day on the web appeared screenshots of an interesting project found on a domain that belongs to Microsoft. Immediately after the appearance of this information, rumors arose (as without them) that the software giant was going to create its own social search service, well, or something like its own “Google +”. Thus, Microsoft plans to occupy its own niche in the field of social projects.

The Microsoft project in its infancy was discovered by the authors of fusible, and the project itself is hosted on the socl.com domain, which is owned by Microsoft. Previously, as you know, the Bing search engine received integration with Facebook, allowing the user to see what his “friends” like on this social network. But it seems that something more is being prepared than just integrating the functions of a social network into a search engine.

The new Microsoft project is supposedly called Tulalip (in any case, this name could be seen on socl.com). On the page, in addition to graphics, there was a search bar (not working), plus a couple of buttons for integration with Facebook and Twitter. By clicking on the button, the user was taken to such a page:

A little later, apparently, having seen an influx of visitors, all the above elements were removed from the socl.com domain. Instead, this page appeared:

Maybe this project really does not matter, being a kind of “homework” for some of the employees. Or maybe this is really the beginning of something more that will soon be presented by the corporation.
