CentOS 6 on the way

Ladies and Gentlemen! What happened was what the Bolsheviks had been talking about for so long, of which so many administrators and other interested (and not so) people were waiting!

CentOS 6 is already in walking distance. According to QA engineers' blog post on July 3rd
Yes, the rumors are true, 6.0 is currently being synced out to the CentOS internal mirror network. That means that we're on track to open it up to external mirrors in a day or two.

And in the release schedule - today is the day of synchronizing images to external mirrors. And it seems like everything is going according to plan. Accordingly, you can expect availability for download tomorrow.

Since CentOS 6 is a “debranded” clone of RHEL 6, the list of new products and improvements is completely the same and there are really VERY many of them compared to the 5.x version. On OpenNET there is a rather large article Release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 in which key points are highlighted in more detail.
