And today it’s extremely unusual news, more precisely, an unusual update that was born out of the need to monitor your own vehicles. We present a video monitoring service for objects with the ability to tie the start or end of monitoring to various events. Now not only GPS monitoring is available, but also video monitoring of transport, cargo, and workers. If interested, read on.

No doubt, there is a rather old startup “House under supervision” (even recently mentioned somewhere around them), “Traffic jams from a window”, maybe others, but still we have a slightly different goal, namely combining “traditional” GPS monitoring with video surveillance and data storage remotely on the server.

As I wrote above, first of all, the service was conceived for you to monitor your transport, because the windows face the opposite side of the parking lot - I had to put in a camera that would broadcast over the Internet - happening to anyone. Later they decided, just in case, to keep an archive of photos, for which ... just save. At night, accordingly, an empty park space was written that is not at all interesting, to be stored or watched, and we approached the idea of ​​saving by event. Because we have GPS trackers on all vehicles — the idea was as follows: upon arrival to the first employee’s “Office” zone, start recording, and after the last car leaves the zone, stop recording.



This was done as a separate application that was used inside the enterprise and no one else tried to develop it until they received an order from the manufacturer of plastic windows. The essence of TK was precisely to record the loading of products into certain vehicles, in which there are most broken windows during transportation, because the driver always claimed that he had already received such from the warehouse.

Here we remembered about the "pocket" development, we had to finish it a bit and insert everything into a single interface for the convenience of work, and organizing the data. The algorithm of work is simple - either we write everything, save archives with the specified period, or we write by an event that can be absolutely arbitrary: the arrival of the car itself or the opening (triggering of a discrete sensor) of the side of the car.
As you can see from the screen - you can view the archive of images according to the timing and, if necessary, you can download all the saved pictures in one archive.




You can also configure the inverse function, for example, when leaving your home (an event is a car leaving the garage, for example), recording of everything that happens at home will begin. Adding a camera is a simple procedure and supports any IP camera with a real address or viawww.dyndns.tv (a service created specifically for cameras). The traffic that the camera consumes depends mainly on the picture quality - but at the moment 3G unlimited packages are already appearing, so soon, I think, such a concept as traffic will no longer be relevant.
