Chrome for a Cause

Google offers to support one of the  five charities by counting the tabs you open in Chrome.



The total number of tabs opened by users will determine the amount of the charitable donation (up to one million dollars) that will be made on behalf of the Chrome community.

• 10 tabs = 1 planted tree
• 10 tabs = 1 published book
• 25 tabs = 1 vaccine
• 100 tabs = 1 square foot of built housing
• 200 tabs = 1 annual supply of water for one person

How to take part?

• Install the Chrome extension for a Cause ;
• Browse web pages in Chrome from December 15-19
• at the end of each day you will be asked to manage your tabs;
• choose which charitable institution you would like to support by the number of tabs open that day.
