Grid mouse pad

This is how much I look at mouse mats: what is useful in them besides the surface? I would like to. Frankly: the idea was not born by itself; the post How to cure Shuttle XPC served as a catalyst . The very idea is to combine two useful functions: a crawling mouse pad and a measuring eye mat.
