We update InternetUrok.ru and hope for your participation.

A year ago, we talked about the UniverTV educational project , in which we collected more than 4,500 videos in two dozen disciplines - from astronomy to law.
The project turned out to be in demand, and we decided that a similar resource for schoolchildren would be a logical continuation. We also announced it on Habr this spring, however, then it was part of UniverTV and was on a subdomain. Later, we decided to launch the project on a separate site - InternetUrok.ru .

    Why do we do it

For those who do not yet know, we will briefly talk about what InternetUrok.ru is. This is a collection of video lessons on the main subjects of the school curriculum - constantly updated, in the public domain and without advertising.

Not every school has teachers who can readily and interestingly talk about their subject. Some children study at home, some skip classes due to illness, and there are those who cannot attend school at all. Do not forget about the lagging students who need help (while not everyone has the opportunity to take a tutor).

In addition, children are studying in the former Soviet republics for whom Russian is their native language, but there are problems with teaching in Russian.

It will not be a discovery for Habr’s visitors that more and more often signals are being broadcast to society: “The Internet is a dump”, “The Internet is dangerous for your children”. We believe that you understand how important educational, cultural, and developmental projects are in such a situation.

    What's the Difference

UniverTV began as a compilation of the best educational videos from around the world. We searched, watched, selected lectures and speeches at conferences. We translated some of them, then began to attract teachers from Russian educational institutions to work on the project. From individual lectures, we gradually move on to entire courses.

With the InternetUrok.ru resource, things are somewhat different. Instead of selecting individual videos by direction, we began to purposefully move around the school curriculum. In fact, the entire project is one big school course.

Materials are systematized not only in subjects, but also in classes of the school curriculum.
For the content of any lesson, you can ask questions, you can discuss the material covered.

    Based on wishes and comments

Our visitors, including Habr users, noticed that not all lessons were of good quality. Still, not every teacher, even a well-taught lesson in the classroom, continues to work just as well on camera, so we decided to re-shoot many lessons.

    How is everything done

It all starts with a lesson script. The teacher, together with our curator, works out the script, determines which illustrative and additional material to use, on which to focus attention.

The director tells the teacher how best to stand in front of the camera, how to gesticulate, where to put hands, how to speak.

We take lessons at two sites. One is equipped in Moscow, the other in St. Petersburg, on the basis of the Lennauchfilm.

The studio has two cameras, which allows you to diversify the picture, periodically changing angles. The sound is recorded through the microphone-buttonhole.

Then we mount the lesson, our designers draw graphics for it, add interactive features and put them on dedicated servers, one of which works for Russia, the other for Europe.

    What's up

To consolidate the material, we plan to add tests, tests and exercises.

In addition, we plan to make fuller use of the capabilities of the Internet and multimedia technologies: to provide the lesson with additional materials, slides, and also to make the lessons non-linear so that the student can choose the sequence of presentation, use interactive footnotes, etc. Already now you can watch a lesson with an accompanying slide show , as well as an example of a non-linear lesson .

At the 1st stage , video tutorials are created and placed in the public domain on all subjects of the school curriculum.
    Dates: grades 6–10 - 2010–2011, grades 1–5 - 2012.
At the 2nd stagevideo tutorials of a new type will be developed that fully utilize the capabilities of nonlinear material feed.
    Dates: 2011-2012
At the 3rd stage, we will create a school, in the curriculum of which real and virtual lessons will be combined. On the basis of the school, a laboratory will begin to operate on the development of the scientific foundations of Internet teaching and a studio that implements these developments.

We want not only to provide all the lessons of the school curriculum for wide access, but also to give resource users the opportunity to choose: for each topic, it is planned to post lessons in several versions conducted by different teachers. After all, it often happens that the incomprehensible becomes understandable only because the new teacher put emphasis in a slightly different way and gave alternative examples.

    We need your help

This is not the first time we have published materials on our projects on Habré. We do this for a specific purpose.

There are many people here who can help us with critical comments and suggestions for the development of the project. We value your opinion and, as far as possible, try to implement the ideas coming in.

In addition, we expect that Habr users will join our initiative. If you know teachers who can record a video lesson, please recommend them to us.

Not all teachers actively use the Internet or the same e-mail. If you are ready to help them contact us, helping them with creating slides and recording videos will be great.

Perhaps even one of those present can write, say, lessons in computer science, mathematics, physics?

And, of course, we hope for help in promoting our initiative. Tell us about teachers, parents, schoolchildren.
