"Intelligent" vending machines appeared in Japan

Advertising technologies on the Web have long been known for when advertising is shown according to the age, gender, and possibly the social position of the potential buyer. Such software is not new, such software, as already mentioned, has long been known and is constantly improving. So, now similar technologies will be implemented not only on the Web, but also in vending machines. Probably, no one will be surprised at the fact that all this will be tested and debugged in Japan. The Japanese will equip vending machines with age and gender recognition technology, which are very popular in this country.

For example, for older customers, the vending machine will offer delicious green tea, and for those who have not yet reached the age when you need to pay attention to pressure and heart function, they will offer an equally delicious coffee drink. In addition, women will be offered drinks with a low sugar content, because most of the young women really try to use foods with a low sugar content. It is clear that age and gender are not always suitable for some standard of queries, but for the most part this is exactly so.

It is worth noting that the products offered by the machine will vary from the time of day, season, and air temperature. In the summer, afternoon, at elevated temperatures, the machine will offer something from the assortment of soft drinks. But in winter, when in usefirewater hot drinks machines with the new technology will offer tea and coffee. The developer of a new type of system is JR East Water Business, which will equip its machines with a convenient touch screen, instead of the usual buttons.

The first machine was installed in Tokyo, and several more devices will soon begin to work. The company management reports that as early as March 2011, about 500 machines with a face recognition system will operate in Tokyo.

In principle, there have already been some attempts to create such machines, but these attempts could not be called too successful - the vending machines were too problematic. Let's hope that reliable vending machines of this type will appear in the CIS countries, at least in 5 years ...
