Yota 2010 - Growth Stage

Yota is good news. We are growing and developing, and today at a press breakfast with journalists and analysts we summed up the results of the third quarter of 2010.

In this post - numbers about the company. The number of subscribers, sources of financing, how much we spent, what we did and what users like most.

In all five cities of Yota presence, we have installed more than 1,100 new base stations and purchased equipment for another 550 new facilities. We are pleased with the fact that in the first three quarters of 2010, 230 thousand more users joined us, and all of us (at the moment) 680 thousand. Now in Moscow we have 430 thousand customers, in St. Petersburg - 128 thousand.

Most people use Yota via USB modems (about 80% of users), another 15% use laptops, 4% use routers (fixed and mobile), and 1% (about 7 thousand subscribers, the most active music consumers) use HTC MAX. If we talk about the popularity of tariffs, 24% use the Yota Day tariff, 76% use the Yota Month tariff. At the same time, about a fifth of customers alternately use either a full monthly tariff plan or a one-day one.

This year we have attracted 158.1 million US dollars of investments, and by the end of the year we plan to attract another 185 million, thus increasing this figure to 340 million dollars.

Over the 9 months of 2010, $ 110.6 million was invested in business development:
    - 57.3 million for the purchase of equipment for base stations
    - 33.1 million for construction and installation works
    - 14.8 million for the development of the transport network and equipment for data centers
    - 4.7 million for design and survey work
    - 0.7 million for other projects

In the fourth quarter, it is planned to invest another 56.1 million, which will bring the total investment for the year to 166.7 million US dollars. This money will help us build more base stations, cover more cities, continuously improve the quality of services ... Until Yota customers can read Habrahabr even in the Siberian taiga :)

    With love, Yota.
