Star Wars Released in 3D

    The day before yesterday, Lucasfilm Ltd. announced that the Star Wars movie series will be converted to 3D. Among the episodes of the saga that literally begs for a transition to three-dimensionality, there are named races on Tatooine and scenes of attacks on the Death Star. The first three-dimensional episode will be “The Phantom Menace” (“Star Wars”: Episode I “The Phantom Menace”), which is expected to be released on the screens of three-dimensional movie theaters in 2012 (a more accurate date has not been announced):

    An exclusive interview video has been posted on StarWars.com with visual effects supervisor of the ILM (Industrial Light & Magic), whose name is John Knoll ( the John Knoll ). He talks about the role that has befallen him and the whole company in the upcoming 3D transformation of the popular video saga.
