
Linux Mint based on Debian released

Yesterday a version of the popular Mint distribution based on Debian testing was released. All previous Mint releases were based on Ubuntu, however, a Debian-based release compares favorably with them in speed and in what is a " rolling release ", i.e. constantly updated distribution.
The disadvantages can be less Debin's orientation on scaffolds, respectively less user friendliness than a distribution based on Ubunta.
So far, only the 32-bit version has been released, the issue of 64-bit is still open. Gnome is
used as a DE , so that the distribution looks very similar to the main Mint branch. Details about the release (English) can be found here .
