BeamAtic Premium headlights let you enjoy high beams at least all night
- Transfer
It seems Japan's highways may soon become a little brighter - at least if these new BeamAtic Premium headlights from Ichikoh Industries go into fashion. Developed by France's Valeo SA, the headlights use an onboard camera and image processing software to track approaching vehicles and some dampers in the headlights that can block the light so that it does not disturb other drivers. The idea is that you can just leave your main beam on all the time without caring that you can blind someone. Not a word about when they will be released, but, apparently, you can get them in Japan next month, in addition, the company is reportedly trying to negotiate with some Japanese car manufacturers about providing such headlights in the factory configuration.
UPD .: The first comment suggested that the same feature is already in the new 2011 Volkswagen Touareg.
