60 games at the start of Windows Phone 7

    During the GamesCom conference, Microsoft unveiled data on the launch line of games for Windows Phone 7. The popular Engadget blog received the information before anyone else and published it on its website .

    It has long been known that WP7 supports the development of XNA games that were previously made for the desktop and Xbox Live. Now most of the arcade games from Xbox Live can be ported to the WP7 mobile platform.

    Windows Phone 7 will offer the full integration of your mobile phone with Xbox Live:
    • Your avatar from Xbox Live with all changes will be downloaded to your mobile;
    • Xbox Live contact support: View their status, activity, and what they’re playing right now. Chat via Xbox Live messages;
    • search, purchase and download of already purchased games;
    • support for Xbox Live achievements in WP7 games and full control of achievements via mobile;
    • multiplayer support for turn-based games with players on WP7 or PC;
    • Access to the Xbox LIVE Spotlight for news, codes, and other information.
    The starting line of games contains such well-known titles as: Assassins Creed, Castlevania, Crackdown 2, Earthworm Jim, Guitar Hero 5, Halo Waypoint, Puzzle Quest 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Star Wars.     Microsoft promises even more games before the New Year holidays and the release of new games from Xbox Live to WP7 every week, as it does on the Xbox 360.
