School Linux for NIRO
Today, several members of the Nizhny Novgorod Linux User Group visited NIRO on a friendly visit.
By agreement with the administration of NIRO, an information system based on the School Linux Junior 5.0.1 distribution kit was deployed in the Blue Class. The system included:
In this class, a course is planned for teachers from 12 schools in the city and region on School Linux. An agreement has been reached on involving participants in the Nizhny Novgorod group of Linux Users in training.

thank the staff of NIRO for their help and participation in installing and configuring School Linux in the computer classroom of the institution.
By agreement with the administration of NIRO, an information system based on the School Linux Junior 5.0.1 distribution kit was deployed in the Blue Class. The system included:
- Install and configure School Linux Junior 5.0.1 on all class computers and the teacher’s computer
- Configuring network shares (network folders) on the teacher’s computer
- Tasks folder is read-only for students and designed to accommodate students
- Income folder available for recording and intended for transferring completed work to the teacher's computer
- Setting up peripheral equipment on the teacher’s computer (scanner and printer)
- Configuring video cards, monitor resolutions and checking the functioning of the software included in the School Linux Junior Suite
- Setting up Internet access from each computer
- Setting up an iTalc class management system
