3gCamp has assembled a mobile community
On July 24, the first city barcamp of mobile technologies 3gCamp was held in St. Petersburg with the support of Beeline . Anyone could make a report on the topic, tell about their vision of the present and future of telecommunications. The main purpose of the event was the formation of a mobile community, the gathering in one place of interest from St. Petersburg for the exchange of views and knowledge on mobile communications.
Let's see how it was.
Morning met us with rain. Having looked at the weather on Yandex, a good sunny day was promised, but it turned out to be fine only during the day. One thing is good, it was pretty cool and the participants did not immediately begin to heat up (in the city now it is almost 35 degrees almost every day). I wonder how many weather stopped :)
The event was held at the Ingria business incubator, which kindly agreed to help with the barcamp. This format was unusual for both Beeline and the technopark, but everything needed was already there. The platform, the projector and, of course, Twitter broadcasting to the wall :)
On Twitter, people lit up and had one of the most active discussions for all the time of the events in the business incubator:
It was stuffy in the room, but the people actively participated in the discussion and did not sour. And for those who suddenly became sad, they arrested this sadness and did not give it away until the end of the barcamp :)
At the beginning, Alexey Ogonkov, Head of Beeline Product Division in the Northwest Region, spoke. And he exclusively introduced the Auto Search service, which is about to be officially announced. It allows you to monitor your wife (and not only :) by attaching a GSM-sensor to the car.
There was also an experiment with a video report of a participant who could not come directly to Ingria. They didn’t ask him questions :) The
reports were very diverse, ranging from geosocial networks to adapting the big Internet to the mobile one:
And during the breaks, the participants were provided with cookies, tea and coffee. At lunch, there were famous sandwiches. Of which there were so many that many had to take them with them :)
At the end of the most persistent speakers, they were awarded with striped prizes
After the event, some of the participants went to the after-party to drink beer, but this is a completely different story :) In general, it was interesting to get together, chat and eat :) I think all the mistakes and, conversely, some finds in the event will be collected, analyzed and this 3gCamp will not be the last!
For those who could not attend, the site provides a photo report, a video broadcast recording, and you can also download the reports themselves:
