Efika mx

I’ve been looking for a small “home computer” for a long time, the main selection criteria are:
- noiselessness
- the presence of non-USB WiFi
- 720p video playback
- originality
- price tag below $ 300
Parsing the issuance of Google and reading the Habr, I became interested in today's development of the PowerPC \ Amiga platforms . A strange combination, however, it brought to the products of Genesi , as a follower of this line. Genesi designs and manufactures low-cost, energy-efficient computers based on ARM ™ and Power Architecture ™ - can be read on their website.
In general, soap is soap, and whoever is interested in another potential contender, welcome to cat.
So, the smart top is Efika MX.

Dimensions: 160mm x 115mm x 20mm
Weight: 250 grams
Inside the box we have:
Processor - ARM ™ Freescale i.MX515 (For those who are especially curious, this is the ARM Cortex-A8 800MHz, similar to the one on the iPad and its technical specifications on the Freescale website and Wikipedia ), in short, this percentage has a 3D accelerator with support for OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenVG 1.1 is able to decode 720p video hardware and output a 24-bit picture to the primary screen in a resolution of 1366 x 768 with all sorts of filters and hardware processing.
512Mb DDR2 RAM are installed in the box (this is more than enough for everyday tasks), instead of a hard drive - an 8Gb SSD (of which about 2Gb will be occupied by the system), an HDMI output to a monitor (TV). Efik can be connected to the Internet via WiFi (the built-in adapter supports 802.11b / g / n) and to connect a NAS to Ethernet. Also on the case there are two (yes, yes, have to put the hub) USB2.0 connectors, a card reader with SDHC support and a headphone jack with a microphone.
Also in August of this year, 2010, the company launches 10 " smartbooks on the market , in a similar configuration (+ SIM card slot for 3G, webcam and bluetooth module), managers are still silent about the price - we will wait.
