Checking PEOPLEnet Account on Linux
Most recently, I became the proud owner of mobile Internet from the company PEOPLEnet (Ukraine). I will not discuss the quality of communication, but immediately get down to business. To check the account, you need to send SMS to number 906. But the trouble is, I could not find any sensible program that could send SMS via CDMA modem from under Linux. Digging a bit, I found that on the site you can watch detailed statistics on the sessions. To find out the rest of the services for the current day, I had to take a calculator and calculate the amount of traffic spent, which did not suit me at all. Without hesitation, I wrote a small program on Qt, which itself visits the site, checks the amount of funds in the account and calculates the total traffic used per day. I think the program will be useful not only to me, so I decided to share it.
