Social networks - connected or time-stealers

Nowadays, few people think that before the Internet was by no means such an ordinary thing ... Agree, because 10 years ago no one dared to dream of such speeds, and even more so about wireless options for implementing an Internet connection. But now it has entered our life so tightly that we do not pay attention to it and cannot but use it. What is it for? Moreover, the Internet has given us completely new opportunities that everyone now uses.

You must admit that everyone had the chance - having promised himself that you would only sit a few minutes on the Internet, you would be dragged into it for hours. All these news, articles, blogs and other joys of the Internet drag a person, tightly pinch him with their digital tentacles and do not let him leave.

Today we can see many different social networks that allow us to be in touch at any time. These same networks drag us in such a way that a person simply lives on the Internet for days and becomes dependent on it. Many may say that social networks are evil, but let's think about what benefits they can bring to us.

The first, when mentioning social networks, “Facebook” or “Vkontakte” comes to mind, it all depends on where you live, although now most of them use both services, which is really heartbreaking, I am among them ... What added to our life these networks? Obviously, they help us find friends or make new friends. Moreover, they can be used as storage for photos or videos and share all this good with others. For example, abroad, many are simply dependent on Facebook, update their status every half hour and communicate only there. I use it as one of the methods to contact friends, since we do not have city lines in the city (or rather, they are, but in a slightly different form than usual) and communication is carried out only through cellular communication. Yes, and free Wi-Fi almost everywhere plays a significant role in this. It is very useful when chat, and messages are available on the Internet using social services. network. Many people have questions about privacy in relation to these services, now more and more information about a person is concentrated in his profile, so the question of privacy is becoming more acute.

I believe that the well-known Twitter may be a good answer. It would seem that short messages are not very useful, but now this service is wildly popular. What is it convenient for? Not the last role is played by the notorious privacy - you can choose who will read your messages, and you need much less information to create a profile on Twitter. Another nuance is that I use Twitter very often because of its simplicity and convenience. It's much easier for me to quickly tweet on Twitter than to write on soap.

Do not consider this an advertisement, just wanted to describe your opinion on this phenomenon - social networks. I would also like to hear your opinion on this topic, do you often use it, do they bring any benefit, or vice versa, only harm and eat up valuable time?
