Firmware Information for Samsung Android Devices

Habra users in the comments on our blog posts have repeatedly asked questions about updating firmware for devices such as Samsung Spica and Samsung Galaxy S. Today we will answer both these questions and others on related questions that you can ask in the comments. I will try to provide you with answers to any question you may have about certain devices.

    1. Samsung Spica will receive the official Russian firmware of the Android 2.1 operating system and this will happen if there are no insurmountable obstacles in August. It may even be a little earlier, but this is not called a fact, there is a lot of work on the firmware right now and bugs are being eliminated and caught. I really want users to get the firmware completely ready for work, and not some half-baked semi-finished product.
Anticipating questions and objections from the category of “I already have one,” we are talking about the official Russian firmware.

    2. In the near future, the official release of the Android 2.2 system on the Galaxy S market will receive, but it’s premature to talk about the timing. As you know, the device has not yet entered the market and it is simply impossible to announce the release dates for firmware for it.

Separately, one can say about this message :

The i7500 does not have a hardware graphics accelerator, in principle, it can work like that, but everything related to graphics (including the camera) and the UI will in some cases be unacceptable to slow down, that is, in fact it will be more likely to “finish” "Than the official firmware version.
