Overview of the communicator Huawei U8230 from life;) Belarus. Part one

Good day, dear habroyuzery!
Surely, you have already seen a post about subsidized phones Huawei U8230 based on Android, which provides the mobile operator life;) Belarus.
So I, more recently, became the owner of this device and decided to share my impressions with you. So, let's go (“multi-picture” warning ) ...
I’ll make a reservation in advance that I’ve been using the “device” for about a week, and he went through a little “customization” of the software part, the device is also “locked” to the operator ( no firmware changes and getting “root-rights” were made , so questions about the “unlock”, etc. n. we ask "Google" ).
Exterior hardware
Here then you can check out the terms of the acquisition vehicle. In short, I’ll say that when I connected, I paid about $ 47, and must replenish the balance of $ 24 every month (which the operator writes off to pay off the cost of the phone + service). In return, I got this:

Inside there were booklets, a cord-block (a separate plug and a separate wire that connects to both the plug and a PC), headphones (a budget option), and, of course, the device itself:

There is no memory card in the kit - which cannot but upset.

Let's take a closer look at the device:

The build quality of the case is pretty good. There are no backlashes, no creaks. The device is made in gloss and its soil immediately catches the eye. The spots in the upper part of the screen on the “screen” are the result of my inaccurate gluing of the film (I acquired the film separately).

In the upper part there is a speaker and a front camera, below we have 4 mechanical buttons and the so-called “trackball”, in the middle there is a 3.5mm “touchscreen” (after using which it was found that it is suitable only for pressing with fingers, and for touching the “stylus” and similar items such as: pen, pencil, etc., the device refused to respond). The screen is bright, color reproduction is good. The non-standard behavior of the touchscreen was noticed when touched in rainy weather (moisture got on the screen - it almost did not obey).
On the left side we have a power button and a slot for a memory card:

In the on mode, the power button controls the display backlight, and with a long press, a parameter menu appears. It was noticed a bit slow response (about 1.5s) to the press of a button (first, the backlight of the lower buttons turns on, and then only the display). The button is pressed too softly and almost without any effort - which repeatedly led to the accidental inclusion of the display. The plug of the memory card did not seem practical, there is a slight backlash (it can affect the frequent replacement of memory cards):

Another picture:

On the right side are the volume up / down buttons and the camera button. The volume keys are pressed too gently (like the power / display on / off button). And to turn on the camera, you need to make an effort to the button and push it into the case, which seemed to me not very convenient.

Also not very conveniently made headphone jacks and charging. For example, I often listen to music, and I had to constantly pull the plug back and forth, the connectors could be separated and arranged on the opposite side of the device (but I did not take part in the design of this device, so it turned out as it is). I did not like the fact that he had a 2.5mm headphone jack.

The back of the device looks like this:

"Marko-scratching" glossy cover, on it a cutout for the camera and speaker. Under the cover is a battery, the charge of which I still have only enough for a day:

I would rate the camera at 3+ on a 5-point scale. The speaker volume is high, I would even say it is excessive (at a maximum at some frequencies it even “wheezes”, and when you close the holes with your finger it shuts up almost completely). The battery heats up very much and practically does not charge when connected to a laptop (which in turn is powered by a network) (it seems that the “laptop” eats up the charge of the handset).
And in conclusion of the first part of a couple of foreshortenings:

Here it is already the fourth hour of the morning, I want to sleep. Therefore, we will talk about the most “delicious” (the remaining internal stuffing and the program part) next time. In the meantime, to summarize:
"+"
- as always, the price falls here (which includes the services of the operator - 750MB of Internet traffic; free calls, SMS, MMS, within the network, etc.);
- good quality materials and assembly;
- the convenience of using the trackball when managing the menu;
- convenient to use "touchscreen";
- sufficient speaker volume;
- You can also include the presence of a sufficiently powerful "stone", GPS, Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and much more in the "pluses" (but more on that next time).
"-"
- the device is locked to the operator ;
- easily soiled, easily scratched case;
- lack of management of improvised items;
- there is no balance in the "softness" of pressing buttons;
- not (convenient) practical arrangement of connectors;
- not the convenience of using the trackball when entering text;
- lack of a memory card in the kit;
- fast battery discharge;
- 2.5 mm headphone jack;
- virtually no charge from the laptop.
To be continued ...
