Take part in the competition and get a grant from HP

This year, Russia was included in the list of target countries where grant programs for schools, colleges, universities and non-governmental educational institutions will be launched. All of them have a chance to get financing for their projects that put modern technology at the service of education.

As part of a global initiative with the sonorous name of HP Catalyst, 5 consortia will be created to work on new and effective approaches to teaching science, engineering and mathematics.

Igor Belousov, a leading educational program manager for HP in Russia, talks about the programs:

Research topics have already been identified, as well as organizations under whose patronage all project participants will work. Each consortium will receive a grant in the amount of ~ $ 1 million in the form of equipment, cash and support from HP specialists who will assist in the activities of organizations.

All program information is available at hp.com/go/hpcatalyst . Until June 30, you can (and should) declare your intention to participate in the competition, and the applications themselves can be submitted until August.

In addition to the HP Catalyst initiative, the HP Prize for Educational Technology Innovation Award was launched for participants from Russia.

This program is for teachers who use advanced technology for classroom and extracurricular activities. In 2010, about 10 educational institutions will receive a grant of about $ 40 thousand, and will also become participants in a social network that helps winners in their further development, encourages the exchange of ideas and experience.
To participate in this contest, you must apply by June 30, 2010 - hp.com/go/edtech .

In general, all information on HP grants, selection criteria, conditions and deadlines for submitting applications can be found here: hp.com/hpinfo/grants/education .

We invite all educational organizations to take the opportunity, take the initiative and become part of the community of grant recipients, which already unites 90 universities, schools, colleges, lyceums and gymnasiums throughout Russia.

    Good luck
