Server Cabinet and CSV Overview

Hello, I would like to share an overview of the 12U server cabinet and 4U chassis. I must say that the case was assembled directly with me, which was funny, I saw the kitchen from the inside. I drove all this in a taxi, so I took it apart.

    Manufacturer: CSV
Model: CSV 4U-K The panel is hidden behind a door with a lock, in front 2 baskets are blown by 2 fans, a Power button, 2 diodes, connectors for a flop / card reader and an optical drive, a USB connector, but the connector itself is not included, which I was upset. Fans are noisy just monstrous. For a server room, this is not a problem, but not for a living room. Surprised by the lack of a Reset button, I had to tear out the button from the old case and stick it with molecular glue to the grate. At the back there are also 2 fans and openings for 7 additional PCI and video cards. Includes 2 baskets with a total capacity of 4 HDDs. I still don’t understand how the flop and drive are attached ... Dimensions GxWxH 430x420x178

I took my old PC, which turned into a server, and just moved it to this case. Fortunately, mothers will get in there before Extended ATX, and the PSU is the most common. 4 units are enough. In general, the case is very durable and good, at 4k.

was quite simple to assemble the cabinet, but it took a long time. I spent 2 hours.
In this bag, all the necessary bolts, screws, keys. The bolts turned out to be of soft metal and the slot, when tightly turned, it just crumbles. I think everyone knows how unpleasant it is. I chose the most suitable nozzle for a screwdriver, but still had to work carefully. The first thing that caught my eye was the thread. The solution was very pleasing, because usually the thread is cut directly into the body metal, and then special nuts are riveted, this is a wonderful but (by the way, the case has the same solution.) Process ... Dimensions GxWxH 580x570x665 The side doors are removable, so do not be surprised that they open at such a small angle.

On the door, the perforated metal is simply glued and comes off easily. I had to stick with molecular glue. You can tighten the bolts. The door is easily deformed, but after closing it sits confidently and does not bend. The cabinet is definitely not anti-vandal. After assembly, the case near the side doors is slightly deformed. However, this is not visible from the side. Wherever doors close, there are gaskets. This is how it looks on the wall. I removed the side doors for now. The cabinet can withstand up to 40 kg, so I put the old monitor on top, let it be. The cabinet is also for 4k, the hinges on the doors are not adjustable, so my door is a bit sagging, but I do not plan to use it often, so this is not a problem.

    Conclusion

Of course, there are disadvantages, but they are not significant, and if you consider how much this cabinet and case cost ( $ 270 for everything ), then I’m ready to ignore these problems :)

And a bonus: a video with the hum of the 1st fan. I’m even afraid to imagine what will happen if I turn on 4re ...
