22 megapixel multi-touch wall

Students from the Norwegian University of Tromsø with the help of projectors and cameras made a unique multi-touch WallScope wall measuring 7168 × 3072, that is, 22 megapixels.

The image is projected through the projectors. Touch screen shooting is done by 16 cameras on the floor. The multi-touch works without directly touching the screen, you just need to bring your palms close enough.

At first, students experimented with navigation through gigapixel photos of their hometown, then they launched Quake.

Three people can play at the same time.

The size of the multi-touch screen design in Tromsø is not a champion. For example, a 45-meter multi-touch wall was previously reported.in Germany. But on the other hand, the German wall had a resolution of only 34 megapixels, and here 22 MP in a much smaller area. That is, the picture quality is the best of the giant multi-touch.
