The first Android smartphone with WiMAX announced - HTC Evo 4G

    At CTIA 2010, which is taking place in Las Vegas, Sprint Nextel, the mobile operator, introduced the first Android smartphone with WiMAX - HTC Evo 4G (formerly known as “Supersonic”).



    Specifications:
    • WiMAX, CDMA (EV-DO RevA);
    • 4.3-inch capacitive WVGA-display (480 x 800);
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a clock frequency of 1 GHz;
    • 512 MB of random access memory (RAM) and 1 GB of internal memory (ROM) + slot for microSD-card;
    • 8-megapixel camera with auto focus, dual LED flash and the ability to record HD-video (720p);
    • 1.3 megapixel front camera;
    • GPS with Sprint Navigation support;
    • Wi-Fi 802.11b / g;
    • Bluetooth 2.1;
    • standard audio jack (3.5 mm);
    • HDMI port
    • 1500 mAh battery;
    • software platform - Android 2.1 + HTC Sense UI.

    Cost has not yet been announced. Sales start this summer.
