Disconnect Base Stations

A few days ago, Samsung entered into another agreement with Yota to supply more than 5,000 Macro mobile WiMAX standard base stations and access control routers since March 2010. This means that the Internet in the air, and, fortunately, not only Moscow (but also in 15 new cities for Yota in Russia) will be more. So now I’m on my way to work by train and from it I can count on an extra 15 minutes of Internet stupidity. Given that the situation at customs with a delay in equipment has resolved, you can be sure that the deadlines Yota and Samsung will withstand.

And this news came just right after an article in RBC, where the public was introduced to the fact that Yota was postponing a project to introduce VoIP-terminals, which was also developed jointly with Samsung. The reason for this is the insufficient capacity of existing networks that can not withstand increased traffic. The fact is that the development of the network and the growth of new subscribers turned out to be much faster than the planned indicators. And it’s true (who’s talking about something, and I’m talking about electric trains) the increase in users is noticeable with the naked eye - on average, 2 people in each car sit out in the contact area on the way home. At work, it’s not enough for him or something.

In a word, the new agreement allows us to expect that the release of VoIP terminals will nevertheless take place this year. Fortunately, Samsung is ready for this: the company has been successfully developing terminals with WiMAX support for a long time, for example, Samsung Mondi, operating in the American Sprint network. However, specially for Yota, new models will be offered, created taking into account the requirements of the company itself and the wishes of users. By the way, you can share these wishes in kamenty.
