AMD introduced five new mid-range processors

    Today, AMD officially introduced five new processors, which, first of all, will be focused on applications in mid-range systems.

    Among the processors presented, the most interesting are two processors based on the Phenom II chip.

    The Phenom II X2 Black Edition is the most productive dual-core AMD processor, which for quite affordable $ 99 (wholesale price) pleases with a clock speed of 3.2GHz, a third-level cache volume of 6MB, a free multiplier and, naturally, good overclocking potential, as the first AnandTech tests say .

    No less interesting is the economical quad-core Phenom II X4 910e processor, with a clock frequency of 2.6GHz, and 2MB of cache in the second level and 6MB of cache in the third level with a TDP of only 65W.

    Also, the Athlon II line has replenished with three new processors, respectively, with the following models:

    Athlon II X4 635 / 2.9GHz / L2-2MB / TDP 95W - $ 119;
    Athlon II X3 440 / 3.0GHz / L2-1.5MB / TDP 95W - $ 84;
    Athlon II X2 255 / 3.1GHz / L2-2MB / TDP 65W - $ 74;

    There were no exact dates for the appearance of processors on sale, it is only known that they should appear on sale in the very near future.

    At today's presentation, it also became known that the flagship Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition processor, which will have a free multiplier and a clock frequency of 3.6 GHz, will soon appear on the market. In addition, it became known that, at the end of the second quarter, AMD is going to introduce three six-core Thuban processors - Phenom II X6 1075T, Phenom II X6 1055T, Phenom II X6 1035T.
