Some time ago we (webmaniacs) began to create our own project, on the hub even a slip with a suggestion to test was skipped, the test was quite successful - we received reviews, many people expressed interest in such a service, some of our mistakes were indicated.

We spent almost half a year on bringing the idea to mind, expanding the functionality, bugfix, some things were rethought - and present the second version of our project - labourist.com .


The basic idea is an online service assistant for small businesses (state of emergency, freelancers, sales managers, studios).
Our entire business life is “projects”, one way or another we take part in them - on the part of the customer or on the part of the performer, many “lead” these projects in a notebook (even Post-it leaves on a monitor), the most “advanced” ones try to use tracking tools used in software development cycles and huge and slow CRM systems, this did not work for most of us - and now we decided to offer you a simple and concise online service. I will not spend karma on marketing words, just briefly describe the functionality.

So:

• Project management (tasks, deadlines) with an emphasis on control of payments (who paid how much, for what when and how much should remain), 2 types of projects - income and expense, project articles, payments and contacts. Notifications of upcoming events, calendar.
• Workflow - documents on projects with support for versioning, notifications to interested parties.
• Contact storage is a cross-cutting list of business contacts for all client projects, with the ability to add tasks, payments, documents to the client.
• There is a functional “screenshots”, i.e. so as not to waste your time communicating with customers / contractors, you can simply use the system tools to show them a “screenshot” of the situation of their project, where it will clearly explain “why so much?”

the whole project is wrapped in SSL, the simplest registration (no confirmation or extra data), a demo project, there is even an affiliate program.

The project will not stand still, the functionality planned in the near future in order of priority:

• API
• Reports (including PDF)
• Additional notification methods
• Premium accounts with extra functionality
• We will not advertise one of the planned “features” yet, but we think it will be very useful.

How is the project different from several western analogues? (We found two analogues and they still work in a different direction)

• Localization - both linguistic and mental;
• More liberal rates;
• Ease of use.

Monetization

For most users, the service is free, but we won’t lie to anyone - we are waiting, at least, for self-sufficiency, the startup’s business model provides for the sale of services in excess of some free volume sufficient for most, premium accounts will appear a little later. I emphasize separately that the service is free until you go beyond the monthly consumption limit.
