The first (glossy) went!

    Hello!

This is my first post on Habr, welcome.
My name is Nikolay Turubar, and I am the editor-in-chief of the Nomobile.ru site of the Seven Days publishing house. The publishing house is undergoing curious changes, the vector of movement is directed to the Internet, and, perhaps, it will be interesting for habraly people to learn about them.

A small educational program: Nomobile.ru is positioned as the first glossy site about gadgets, but the word “glossy” here does not mean “glamorous” in the sense divorced from life and reality, but means an easy approach to texts, illustrations and layout. In the near future an easy redesign of the site and a change of navigation will take place, and it will be very interesting for us to know your opinion about the new submission of materials.

I would like to promote several materials of different genres, on which you can get an idea about the project.

Column of psychologist Zhanna Karlova on how the concept of “geek” has changed
The term "geek" a couple of years ago was called a relatively narrow circle of people obsessed with gadgets. Such a marginal gathering of future arrogants, a little autistic, with its own bird tongue and even with some common style in clothes formed by the need to carry a bunch of electronic things for various purposes. Sometimes other people confused IT specialists and geeks. In fact, not every IT person is a geek, and not every geek is an IT person. At the same time, a geek and an IT specialist at the same time are a fairly common set of homosapiens.

Opinions of readers of Nomobile.ru on the reflex Canon 500D
In Nomobile.ru gadgets are tested not only by authors, but also by readers. We are happy to give all kinds of techniques for the test, that's what we get in the end (the camera was checked by blogger Igor Chersky and musician Anton Vartanov for their needs)

And, finally, New Year’s shock material - a hodgepodge of Nomobile.ru authors and our experts on how 2009 is a techno-year and what to expect from 2010.
Among the authors are the popular blogger Alex Exler, the editor of Mforum.ru and the famous podcast Olga olyapka Shagalova, the head of Lenta.ru IT-editor Alexander Amzin, the editor-in-chief of Digital Photo magazine Boris Muradov, the editor-in-chief of Hi-Tech.Mail.ru Anton Spiridonov, the editor-in-chief of Ferra. ru Mikhail Panyushkin, chief editor of MobileNews magazine Igor Volkov and others.
