Google published the source code for Android 2.0, and it was immediately launched on HTC G1 (Dream). It works without brakes

Recently, Italian enthusiasts launched Android 2.0 on HTC Dream, but the system worked, frankly, it doesn’t matter. Judging by the video , pretty strong interface brakes were observed.

But here on Twitter Steve Kondik (aka Cyanogen) a message appeared with a screenshot of Android 2.0 on his htc G1. The system, as I understand it, he collected from the sources that Google posted, i.e. the version was already stable. And, which cannot but rejoice, it does not slow down and everything works except video and audio, judging by his tweet “It runs really well, fast and smooth. Audio and video not working yet though. ”And" ... yes both working fine, only thing that isn't working is the audio / video codecs ".

As the owner of G1 I declare - this is wonderful :)

UP:recently flashed information that 2.0 will officially be released under G1, and will work without modifications of Mr. Cyanogen. The proof is the statement of the Austrian T-Mobile, which is going to launch the sale of G1 in Austria already with firmware 2.0. Details here
